Band and Orchestra Earn Top Festival Honors

The Altamont School’s student musicians earned top honors at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The Jazz Band scored two “Excellent” marks and a “Superior” mark, while Orchestra scored all “Excellent” marks but was within three points of “Superior” with all three judges! “Wherever we went this past weekend, these students represented Altamont well—in their playing, in their demeanor, and in the respect they showed others,” said Altamont Band & Orchestra Director Landon Rogan. “I’m incredibly proud of them.”
