Altamont Students Take Top Honors in State Indoor Track Championship

In addition to top individual performances, The Altamont School’s varsity Indoor Track teams completed their season as 3rd (girls) and 19th (boys) of the 40 teams in competition at the 1A-3A state championship.

Merritt Fulmer earned her third consecutive state title in pole vault (10’1”).
 
Talia Floyd earned the state title in triple jump (34’ 2”).
 
4x800 relay – Mary Spann, Elle Sellers, Claire Nichols, Frances Overton earned their second consecutive title in the 4x800 relay (10:41).
 
Elle Sellers, Kate Nichols, and Abbey Sellers placed 2nd in the 4x400 relay.
 
Sykes Carlson, William Rowland, and Joe Porter set personal records in their races.
