Altamont Presents Year-End Awards for Grades 9-11
The Altamont School presented year-end honors to outstanding students in Grades 9-11 this week.
 
GRADE 9 AWARDS
Serena Blutter-The Donovan Award for outstanding academic, athletic, and extracurricular achievement.
 
GRADE 10 AWARDS
 
Mia Mayo-The Lynn Clark Creative Writing Scholarship
Emma McLain-The Katharine Ireland Mitchell Award for the outstanding student in the field of Modern World history.
 
A.J. Gallitz-THE SMILEY AWARD for the outstanding student who, while actively participating in extracurricular activities, has achieved a notable record in scholarship.
 
GRADE 11 AWARDS
 
Ivan Riley-The Bausch and Lomb Junior Class Science Award for the student who has high achievement and rigor in science and math classes and has made positive contributions to their school and within the larger community.
 
Andrew Herrin- Margaret Matthews Gage Prize in American History
 
Nivedha Goli, Ivan Riley, and Raju Sudarshan-The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad
 
Nivedha Goli-The Allene Benners Martin Cup for the outstanding junior girl who exhibits high personal standards with acceptable grades.
 
Cecilia Weinert (Middle School) and Ashlyn Reynolds (Upper School-The Joyce Ackermann Scholarship for faculty-recommended students who love to read and discuss literature.
