AJCL Brings Laurels for Latin Students
This has been a season of honors for Altamont Latin students, led by teachers Jamie Rediker and Catherine Caridi! The students literally earned laurels in a month-long trivia competition, and returned from the Alabama Junior Classical League convention with multiple individual and team awards, including:
Academic Olympiad
Aadi Raval – 1st place, Pentathlon level 2; and 2nd place, Mythology level 2
Meghana Hiremagalore – 2nd place, Grammar level 2
Guy Thrower – 3rd place, History level 1
Alice Houser – 3rd place, Mythology level 1
Emma McLain – 3rd place, Mythology advanced
Nish Doppalapudi – 3rd place, Vocabulary advanced
Athletic Olympiad
Andromeda toga relay – 1st place
Ad Astra relay race – 3rd place
Certamen quiz bowl- 4th place
