Julie Beckwith

On March 13, 2019, Scholastic Art & Writing announced the names of National Medal recipients. Nearly 340,000 works of art and writing were submitted to the 2019 Scholastic Awards. Receiving a National Medal places these three students within the top one percent of all submissions.

We are proud of our national award winners:

Zoe Jacks (12th grade)
"The Wallpaper Room"
Silver Medal

Carson Hicks (9th grade)
"The Reluctant Queen"
Silver Medal
Digital Art

Emily Muller (11th grade)
"Dairy Farm"
Silver Medal

Congratulations to these students and their teachers, Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Gillespie. As National Medalists, Zoe, Carson and Emily will have their work published in the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers online galleries at in June. Their names will also be listed in the 2019 Yearbook, a companion publication to The Best Teen Art and The Best Teen Writing anthologies.
