Theatre Department Performs at Trumbauer Festival

Congratulations to Altamont’s Theatre Department who celebrated a fun, successful, educational day at the Walter Trumbauer Secondary Theatre Festival this past Saturday!

The following students participated in the One-Act Festival and/or individual events: Ivan Riley, Jeremy Doster, Johnny Stumpff, Cricket Davis, Karleigh Watts, Ajani Salvary, Kaavya Karthikeyan, Olivia Vanlandingham, Lilith Dyson, Jeffrey Youngson, Lucine Carsen, Jimmy Sears, Justin Lewis, Karrington Manley, Kirstan Davie, Dima Reem Gambino, Madeleine Beckwith, Ingrid Smyer, Valeria Blanco, Margaret Schedler, Katie Soong, Sarah Whitley, Lizzie Maxey, Bud Gidiere, Andrew Herrin, Reese Jeffery, and Eliza Riley.

Awards:

Kaavya Karthikeyan was named Best Performer in the One-Act Festival.

Cricket Davis and Kirstan Davie were both named Best Performer in a Supporting Role.

The following 5 students earned the title of All-Star Cast: Ajani Salvary, Olivia Vanlandingham, Karrington Manley, Karleigh Watts, and Lucine Carsen.

In the One-Act Festival category, their FAME performance earned a superior medal, the highest award possible in this category. It was also titled Best Costumes.

Lizzie Maxey earned a medal of excellence and Justin Lewis earned a superior medal in Solo Acting Contemporary Dramatic.

Valeria Blanco, Kaavya Karthikeyan, Kirstan Davie and Lilith Dyson earned medals of excellence in Duet Musical Comedic.

Justin Lewis earned a medal of excellence in Solo Musical Contemporary Dramatic.

The following students advanced to the state level of Trumbauer and received the following medals.

Cricket Davis earned a superior medal in Solo Musical Contemporary Dramatic Up-tempo.

Kirstan Davie earned a superior medal in Solo Musical Classical Dramatic.

Lilith Dyson earned a superior medal in Solo Musical Contemporary Dramatic Ballad.

Lucine Carsen earned superior medals in Solo Acting Contemporary Dramatic and in Duet Acting Classical Dramatic.

Jeremy Doster earned superior medals in Duet Acting Classical Dramatic and in Solo Acting Classical Dramatic.

Jimmy Sears earned superior medals in Solo Acting Classical Dramatic and in Solo Acting Contemporary Comedic.

Valeria Blanco earned a superior medal in Solo Acting Contemporary Comedic.

Johnny Stumpff earned a superior medal in Solo Musical Contemporary Dramatic Ballad.

Kaavya Karthikeyan earned a superior medal in Solo Musical Contemporary Dramatic Up-tempo.
