The Altamont Girls Track team convincingly won the 1A-4A Cullman Classic held on March 18, 2017 at Oliver Woodard Stadium in Cullman, Alabama. The Knights nearly doubled the points of runner up St. Bernard. Reaching the podium were Kalia Todd (1st, triple jump), Abby Sharff (2nd, triple jump), Anna-Julia Kutsch (1st, high jump; 2nd, 100m dash; 2nd, 200m dash), Mary Allen Murray, who medaled in all four of her events, (1st, 3200m run; 2nd, 800m run; 2nd, 1600m run), Juliet Cabraja (3rd, 1600m run; 3rd, 3200m run), Amelia Pak (1st, pole vault; 3rd, 300m hurdles), Ashley Johnsen (2nd, long jump), and Lillie Parks (3rd, long jump). Altamont's 4x800 relay of Amrita Lakhanpal, Juliet Cabraja, Bay Stackpole, and Mary Allen Murray placed 2nd.

The Altamont Boys Track team placed 7th overall and had standout performances by Buddy Gardner (2nd, pole vault), James Dixon (3rd, 400m dash), and senior Miles Underwood who scored points in all four of his events. Altamont's 4x400 relay of Buddy Gardner, Cole Hall, Miles Underwood, and James Dixon placed 2nd.
