On March 1, 2018, Altamont French students competed in the Alabama Federation of French Clubs Convention, held on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Congratulations to our students on their many outstanding performances!

Scholars Bowl Team Competition
Our team of Matthew Hamrick (captain), Otulissa Zhu, Vivek Sasse, Caroline Lee, Simms Berdy, David O'Brien, Lauren Perry and Eleanor Roth won Supérieur (First Place).

Individual Oral Competitions
Level I Caroline Randall won a Supérieur award.
Level II Robert Hanna won a Grand Prix* and Best Theme-Related award.
Level III Eleanor Roth won a Supérieur and Best Theme-Related award.
Level IV Otulissa Zhu won a Très Bien and Originality award.

Group Skits
Level I/II "Tintin in French-Speaking Africa" won a Très Bien and Originality award.
Level III/IV "Bouboutique & Grill-O" won a Grand Prix*, Best Theme-Related, and Best Theatrical Presentation award.
