APA Solo Competition Concert
Julie Beckwith

A favorite Altamont tradition is the APA Solo Competition, which is open to instrumentalists and vocalists in grades 5-12. Student auditions are judged by a professional guest artist. This year's judge was Henry Scott, a director with Virginia Samford Theatre and Red Mountain Theatre.

Winners typically perform for the student body at an X-period assembly, but this year, we are pleased to present a virtual concert featuring the winners of the 2019-20 competition:

Ali LeJeune (5th grade), Amelia Neiman (11th grade), Claudia Williams (8th grade), Cricket Davis (10th grade), Daniel Eggers (12th grade), Dima Reem Gambino (9th grade), Emma Lembke (11th grade), Oliver Lyons (6th grade), Surina Prabhu (12th grade), and Toby Conn (9th grade).

The concert can be viewed on the Arts page of our website.

A special thank you to Mr. Michael King, choir director, for organizing the competition and the virtual concert.
