Summer Reading

A centerpiece of the English program at Altamont is our belief in the value of reading; it improves a student's writing, vocabulary, and knowledge. Altamont students read a book per month outside of class, including books from the English department's list as well as reading for other classes. We also expect students to read five books during the summer, chosen from the following grade-level reading lists:
