Art

Altamont students benefit from remarkable fine arts spaces, including Pharo Art Studio. This state-of-the-art facility offers multiple lighting options and plentiful space for students to refine their skills in art, drawing, painting, sculpture, kiln firing, and much more. The Livingston Gallery, a permanent gallery for displaying student art work and hosting community exhibits opens onto the Hames Gallery, which interweaves Altamont's extensive professional art collection with the work of our students, showcasing the depth and breadth of their talents.

Our curriculum starts in 5th grade and features a broad range of classes, including painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture and more. Upper school students have the opportunity to participate in National Art Honor Society, which provides leadership growth opportunities and chances to give back both within our school and our local community.
