Admissions

Welcome to The Altamont School! We are so happy you want to learn more about what makes Altamont one of the premier independent school programs in the Southeast. Our mission – to improve the fabric of society by graduating compassionate, well-educated individuals capable of independent thinking and innovative ideas – shapes every experience at Altamont. With a large-school program in a small-school environment, students have the opportunity to participate in all areas of school life.

This site has a wealth of information about our community but there is no substitute for an in-person visit. Please explore the site and viewbook, meet our teachers, and then contact the Admissions Office to schedule a tour, attend a student shadow day or learn more about open houses. We thank you for your interest and look forward to welcoming you into the Altamont community!
