10:30-11:30 a.m. Required laptop unboxing for returning 9th graders and their parents.

New Families: Knights Camp/Orientation
Wednesday, August 14
1:00-3:45 p.m.
This is a required orientation for new students and their parents that lasts the entire 2 hours and 45 minutes. New students in grades 5-9 will unbox their laptops during the last hour of orientation.

Students will receive the following at returning student registration or new student orientation:
  • Locker number and combination (Students may organize/decorate their lockers during registration.)
  • Laptop (all 9th graders and new students in 5th-8th grade only)
  • Agenda (5th-9th grade only)
  • Class schedule (Changes can be made during registration or orientation.)
  • Students will also have their yearbook photo taken.

Please read all the information below carefully. After filling out all of the required online forms, you may complete the checkout form at the bottom of this page to purchase P.E. shirts (if needed) and/or optional items (such as athletic passes).

This year we are using the electronic signature platform Adobe Sign and PayPal, so that families may complete all registration forms and payments online.

Required Before Registration

Magnus Health

Every year, all families, new and returning, are required to fill out or renew Magnus health forms prior to registration. Magnus health forms must be reviewed and updated every year. Please click here to read instructions before accessing the Magnus Health Portal.

P.E. Shirts

All students enrolled in a P.E. class must have an Altamont P.E. shirt. These shirts are ordered through the school. Purchase shirts on the check out form at the bottom of this page. Boys and girls have different color shirts, so please specify male or female when filling out the order information at check out. Returning students may use P.E. shirts from last year, if you do not wish to purchase new ones.

Cost is $8.00/shirt.

Student Handbook Acknowledgement Form

Parents AND students are required to read the Altamont student handbook and sign an acknowledgement form every year.

2019-20 Sports Registration

Students in grades 7th-12th who plan to play a sport this year: Altamont and the AHSAA are transitioning to an app that allows athletic eligibility forms to be submitted online. The link below will take you to the site where you can create an account and add your son/daughter(s) to the teams on which they will be participating for the school this year. Then you can upload the eligibility forms and keep track of what you have and don't have. You can also download a mobile app on your phone.

Our school code is:
YEUJWR (you do not have to capitalize)

The following forms must be signed and on file (or uploaded) before any student-athlete in 7th grade or above may participate in any practice:
1. Preparticipation physical signed by an M.D.
2. Student Release form
3. Concussion Information Form
4. Copy of student's birth certificate
5. STAR or NFHS Sportsmanship certificate

Steve Mitchell, Altamont's athletic director, has the ability to upload forms that are already on file and do not need to be renewed every year (birth certificate and STAR/NFHS Sportsmanship).

School Pictures

All students must have their picture taken for the yearbook. Belmont Studios will be at both new student orientation and returning student registration to take student pictures.

If you would like to purchase your child’s yearbook picture, register at https://belmontstudios.gotphoto.com/login. Altamont's code is altamont20. Belmont will notify you as soon as student portraits are up for viewing/ordering.

Student Driver Parking Permit (grades 11-12 only)

Due to construction of the secondary driveway in the back of the school, only students in grades 11 and 12 will be allowed to park on campus while construction is ongoing.

New student drivers: You must have a driver's license and register your vehicle using this form to park on campus. You will receive a parking sticker to display in your front window during registration/orientation.

Returning student drivers: You must fill out this form every year, but you may use your parking sticker from last year.

Parents: If your student has a driver’s license and will be parking on campus, you must click here to fill out an online permission form, even if your student is a returning driver.

Students who plan to get their license during the 2019-20 school year should not fill this form out. Please check with Mrs. Denise Williams in the front office once you receive your license to fill this form out and receive a parking sticker.

Cost is $8.00/shirt. You will be able to select quantities once the shirt is added to your cart. Shirts will be distributed during P.E. classes the first week of school. If you need additional shirts after the school year starts, contact Susan Keith at skeith@altamontschool.org.


Athletic Pass (Optional)

The purchase of an $85.00 annual athletic pass grants all members of your immediate family admission to all home athletic contests for the 2019-20 school year, excluding AHSAA-sanctioned playoff events.

Altamont Parents Association Dues (Optional)

You have the option of paying $65 in annual dues, which supports activities and events that further the mission of the school and entitles you to a printed copy of the directory. You also have the option of contributing $20 toward quarterly teacher appreciation breakfasts. Parents are not required to pay APA dues.
