Community Health

The Altamont School is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our faculty, staff, students and parents.
Student Assistance Counseling
The Altamont School maintains extensive resources to support student mental health, including two full-time counselors, individual attention, guides to difficult conversations, and a parent/counselor book club. Learn more here.
Sports Medicine
The Altamont School has a long tradition of athletic participation, and seeks to make that experience as safe as possible. Visit our Sports Medicine page to find resources related to injury prevention, training facilities and the student health forms required for participation.
Through the COVID-19 emergency The Altamont School encouraged masking, testing and vaccinations for all members of our community. As part of our continued vigilance, if a student or faculty member has fever (100 degrees or more), they are to stay home and get tested. Those who test positive for COVID-19 are to stay home for five days and until they are fever-free for 24 hours. Upon returning to school, they are to mask for five days. CDC Guidelines are changing constantly and can be viewed here.
