- Altamont's summer program is a full experience, from academics to camp programs
Altamont's Summer Study Program offers acceleration, enrichment, and credit courses, as well as several camps in photography, art, drama, math, science, reading, computer, soccer, volleyball, and basketball. The six- week session, from early June to mid-July, is open to boys and girls entering grades 3-12. These summer programs are a great way for prospective families to learn about Altamont.
Course offerings regularly include "Hot Topics" in mathematics, English and general mathematics enrichment, geometry, lab techniques, health and speech. Classes are taught by regular Altamont School faculty from 8:00 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday.
Camp sessions in basketball, volleyball, soccer, drama, math, science, reading, computer, and art are one, two, or three weeks in length and are scheduled throughout the summer. Camps are staffed by Altamont faculty plus resource personnel.
