The Altamont School offers a generous financial aid program. Of the current student body, approximately 22% received some form of financial aid for the 2015-16 school year.
HOW TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
- By mid-February: Submit the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) forms by clicking here. The school code is 1220. Completed SSS forms must reach Altamont by March 1 for consideration for financial aid.
- Meet the February 1 deadline: The Altamont School expects both the custodial and non-custodial parents to participate in good faith in support of the child at Altamont. Both parents must complete the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) and provide previous year tax returns. Submit a copy of the previous year's Federal Income Tax Form 1040, with all attached schedules and W-2 forms, through the SSS portal. It is the responsibility of the parents, not the school, to coordinate these efforts. To be considered for financial aid, ALL MATERIALS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE SSS PORTAL BY FEBRUARY 1. Financial aid awards are contingent upon receipt of current year tax returns. All current year tax returns must be uploaded to the SSS portal by May 1.
- All applicants for financial aid must be admitted to Altamont. Current students must be in good standing to receive financial aid or endowed scholarships.
