The Seal of The Altamont School

Truth, Knowledge, Honor The Altamont seal was created in 1975 at the merger of Birmingham University School and The Brooke Hill School. The lamp of knowledge and the laurel wreath, signifying the search for excellence, were incorporated from the Birmingham University School seal. Elements from The Brooke Hill seal, originally designed by Marianne Morgan Smith '43, included the white dogwood flower and the open book, representing the constant search for knowledge.
